Maggie Haberman and Michael Schmidt of The New York Times, launched a bombshell report detailing how the Mueller probe is building the case for obstruction of justice and potential witness tampering against President Donald Trump. In the report, The New York Times highlights that “privately, some of [Trump’s] lawyers have expressed concern that Mr. Mueller will stitch together several episodes, encounters, and pieces of evidence, like the tweets, to build a case that the president embarked on a broad effort to interfere with the investigation,” and how “prosecutors who lack one slam-dunk piece of evidence in obstruction cases often search for a larger pattern of behavior.”
Topics Special Counsel Robert Mueller is reportedly scrutinizing in Trump’s tweets include “negative statements from the president about Attorney General Jeff Sessions and the former F.B.I. director James B. Comey, according to three people briefed on the matter.”

The tweet where Trump admitted that he was aware that his former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn lied to the FBI before firing him. This would mean Trump asked Comey to back off Flynn, who he knew committed a crime.
I had to fire General Flynn because he lied to the Vice President and the FBI. He has pled guilty to those lies. It is a shame because his actions during the transition were lawful. There was nothing to hide!
