News of the articles of impeachment filed against Rod Rosenstein, set into motion by Freedom Caucus members Reps. Mark Meadows (R-NC) and his colleague, scandal beleaguered Jim Jordan (R-OH), spread like wildfire on social media Wednesday evening. What was not immediately apparent were the names of the 9 cosponsors that Meadows and Jordan claimed had signed onto and supported the motion to impeach.

Earlier this morning a picture of the official document with the cosponsors’ signatures was released by an AP reporter, finally disclosing the names of all 9 of the representatives who signed onto these articles of impeachment.

As expected, all of the sponsors and cosponsors of the articles of impeachment are Freedom Caucus members. The move to impeach Deputy AG Rosenstein, which details five separate articles of impeachment focused on his handling of the Mueller investigation, is unlikely to come to the floor for a vote and is seen as highly controversial within the GOP leadership.
