President-elect Donald Trump has named his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, as one of his Senior Advisers. This comes after the NYT called out his conflicts of interest. Reportedly, both Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner will sell the majority of their assets to avoid “the appearance” of the conflicts of interest with their various businesses, and move to Washington DC. I’m sure you’ve all heard of Trump’s unprecedented move to immediately push out everyone who was appointed by Obama, leaving key positions open without a replacement. Trump’s Secretary of State nominee Rex Tillerson was a top executive at Exxon while they did business with Iran, Syria and Sudan through a European subsidiary while those countries were under U.S. sanctions as state sponsors of terrorism. After Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnel (R) said Democrats who were calling for a delay on Trump’s nominees who haven’t completed their ethics reviews need to “grow up,” Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D) responded with fire. He took to Twitter and posted a picture of McConnel’s 09 letter, where he demanded that Obama’s nominees meet the very same standards that Democrats are demanding today. This exposed Mitch McConnel’s hypocrisy. Bravo Schumer. Bravo: goo.gl/mPp0wx

Trump’s Attorney General nominee Jeff Sessions’ two day confirmation hearing begins tomorrow. Session’s racist tendencies were the focus of his 1986 hearing for an Alabama judgeship, a judgeship he never obtained. We’ll see how this goes tomorrow: goo.gl/r7uzxb
